Many firms are long on planning knowhow but short on translating their expertise into compelling, readable reports. No one will sit still to read a 100-page Word document. Lee Ann Walling is a certified graphic and web designer, as well as a former journalist trained to avoid jargon and write straightforwardly.

06 Aug Logos and graphics

Lee Ann has designed logos and graphic materials for churches and nonprofit organizations.  This is a value-added service that complements her planning and sustainability experience. Her website and graphic design enterprise is www.kairosideas.com. She designed this logo for the Delaware-Maryland American Planning Association Conference in October 2014. The logo was used in flyers, on letterhead and for many other related uses.

To encourage engagement in projects such as the LEED certification of agency headquarters, Lee Ann has deployed a number of tactics, including interactive electronic newsletters, contests and other promotions, posters, surveys and creation of branding logos.
