When the popular HGTV show, “Home Town,” announced that it would be seeking to help revitalize another town, the Laurel Redevelopment Corporation jumped at the opportunity. Lee Ann was part of a small team that quickly put together a script, engaged the community, and shot several vignettes around town with two “actors” recruited for the video. The effort culminated with Lee Ann in a bucket truck as citizens of the town shouted “Reimagine Laurel!” in front of iconic watermelon buses painted by the community. The local furniture store produced life-sized cardboard cutouts of the show’s stars, Ben and Erin Napier, and they were carried around town for the vignettes. The video was shot, edited, produced and uploaded to HGTV over five days.
